The Two Years Stolen: An Oral History of how Covid Influenced our Life Paths
Yiwen Li
When people talk about covid-19, what are they talking about? The rising numbers of cases and deaths? The beloved ones lost to the pandemic? Secondary disasters caused by the pandemic? The discrimination and racism that can be worse than the virus? Vaccines and possible side effects of vaccines? Although the pandemic is about to approach its third year, and in most parts of the world the impact of the pandemic on daily life seems to be receding and people are regaining a sense of what life was like before the pandemic, everyone knows something is different. Do you still remember your state of mind at the beginning of the pandemic, under all the uncertainty? Have you ever thought about how Covid-19 has made a difference in your life? My project is a podcast based on an oral history of that uncertainty and change.
