elly kalfus is a student in Columbia’s oral history master of arts program, graduating in 2018. elly’s work comes from collaborations with people impacted by the criminal justice system, and her current focus is interviewing incarcerated people who have been fighting for their right to vote in Massachusetts. elly is grateful for her mother, Penny Prince, who is featured in this video and is a music professor at Lehman College.
